~Training~

Here at Kingdom Kenelz Labradors we offer basic to full obedience & behavior training from 8 weeks of age (8 weeks of age for puppies adopted from KKL) and older (after vaccinations are complete for dogs outside of KKL).  Some of our adoptive families choose to leave their puppies with us for a couple months of basic obedience training before taking their puppies to his/her forever home.  For those who need a private one-on-one session with the trainer, we also offer training with the owner/dog for $50 per hour.

The average training and boarding time for an 8-week-old puppy is one month (depending on the puppy, there may need to be an additional week).  Owner will be required to visit puppy for a minimum of at least two times during puppy’s stay to encourage puppy to bond with the owner as well as learning to follow the owner’s directions.

On completion of training, KKL will give the owner written instructions on how to continue working with your puppy to finish any unfinished commands, as well as the commands that puppy has already learned.  At this age and stage your puppy may go through “testing” phases where puppy will see if listening/obeying is optional.  The instructions will assist the owner during these challenges, and KKL also offers additional training by the hour (coaching owner & puppy together) or by the month (puppy stays for additional training).

We require that you bring your own crate, water bowls, leash, collar, at least one chew toy, and provide for any other needs your puppy may have.

Since the puppy will stay until twelve weeks of age, we require reimbursement for your puppy’s second veterinarian wellness check and vaccinations (we will provide transportation).

Basic Obedience Training:  Your puppy will be started on basic obedience commands such as “sit”, name recognition, introduction to walking on a leash, and “come”. Puppy may also be introduced to “down” and/or advance in leash training depending on your puppy’s progression.

Basic Behavior Training:  Your puppy will be started on behavior training such as learning “off”, no nipping, and possibly no barking (again depending on the puppy’s progression).  Puppy will also be started on crate training, sitting for meals, and basic potty commands which will be especially helpful for house training.

Additional Training:  Your puppy will be introduced to retrieving toys to encourage your playtime with puppy at home.

Basic Obedience and Behavior Training for KKL Puppies is $500 per month plus compensation for food, and any additional expenses your puppy may accrue.

Same as above except more tailored training for the specific stage of your dog’s behavior and obedience needs.  This training is offered to nonaggressive healthy dogs outside of KKL.  In addition to requirements above, all dogs must be current on vaccinations, provide proof of a negative fecal, and regularly taking a heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Proof of medical records is required. Please no females in or due in season.

Basic Obedience and Behavior Training for dogs outside of KKL is $1,000 per month plus compensation for food, and any additional expenses your dog may accrue.

…We most enthusiastically recommend Trinity as an outstanding young and upcoming dog trainer.  Trinity possesses a remarkable talent and passion for working with puppies and dogs.  She demonstrates a deep understanding of canine behavior.  When we brought our Cooper home, he was such a well-mannered puppy.  He knew all of his basic commands of sit, stay, come and walk on a leash.  He was also completely crate trained.  He never made a sound when he was in his crate… ~Kenny and Brenda

A Review From Our Extended Labrador Family

My son and I had such a wonderful experience with Kingdom Kenelz Labradors! The owner was so professional and down to earth that it made us feel comfortable and at ease. I would recommend anyone purchase their future fur baby from them. Our little princess has been such a blessing to our family! I'm so grateful for the opportunity to work with such an extraordinary breeder! ~Cheryl
